Resources and Tutorials for Adobe
You are working with Adobe prducts, so your best best is likely to be their own website. They have a huge number of tutorials on Youtube for various functions in each of their programs, forums for users, and basic FAQ’s for everyone to read! If you’re having a problem, check their customer service tips. If you’re looking for some help in a program, check out some of their videos!
And while you’re at it, you can check out Adobe KnowHow, a subset of Adobe. They offer hundreds of (albeit paid) videos that you can add notes to as you watch, and each note creates an automatic cue point that you can use to jump to that point of the video! A great interactive way to use Adobe tips, KnowHow is very useful, and they do have some courses available for free.
If you’re working specifically with Photoshop, check out this website. They have a clean layout and clear navigation, and despite only focusing on one of Adobe’s many programs, their information is super helpful if you’re just getting started and have questions about how to use certain functions in the program.
Lynda.com is an amazing video resource! With countless tutorials from hundreds of experts across the globe, you might find exactly what you’re looking for. From beginning tutorials on Dreamweaver (build a template website, then build your own!) to videos on how to use basic Photoshop and Lightroom tools, and some great Illustrator work as well, Lynda.com has a bunch of great resources.
You might even have access through your university or local library, so make sure you ask around!
There are tons of people out there who have video tutorials on Adobe, but Terry White is one of the top names! His Youtube channel has over 500 free tutorials on a variety of Adobe programs, and his main focus in Adobe Creative Cloud, but he also reviews awesome tech products. Check out his channel for tips on everything from Lightroom effects to how to whiten teeth in Photoshop!
If you’re looking for a place with great forums, CreativeCow is a great bet! They offer hundreds of tutorials, members of the site can post their own threads to ask advice and post advice, and their focus runs the gamut of Adobe Creative Cloud products. They also offer a newsletter subscription that will help you stay up-to-date with the latest industry news and standards!
